UCB stands for the Ultimate Committee Battle. This is a friendly competition between all committees within Complex.The competition starts when the committees are formed, and lasts until the end of the academic year. The top 4 will be decided at the end of the year during the UCB finale at the Active Members Thanking Day. At the UCB finale, the numbers 3 and 4 will battle for third place and the numbers 1 and 2 will battle for first place. The winner has the honour of calling themselves the ultimate committee of Complex for the whole year. Who is in the top four will be determined throughout the year based on the challenges. The UCB aims to improve cohesion between and within committees. It is not mandatory to take part in it with your committee, but most active members really enjoy it since it is very fun!
There are multiple ways in which your committee can earn UCB points, for example, having drink with another committee, being present with your committee at Complex activities and participating in the Monthly UCB Challenge. The monthly challenge can be anything, for example: “show how your committee celebrates the holidays” and every committee can interpret it in their own creative way. In the end of the month, the top 3 who did best on the monthly challenge will be revealed in the Active Members Group Chat. We also keep track of the rankings at our UCB podium in the Complex Chill-Room.
Overall, the UCB is a relaxing and funny way to get to know your committee and the association better!
