Code of Conduct
At Study Association Complex, we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and socially safe environment where everyone feels respected, valued and comfortable being themselves. Whether you are attending an activity, participating in a committee or simply spending time with fellow members, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy their student experience without feeling excluded or unsafe.
To maintain this environment, we have established guidelines outlining the values, responsibilities and behavioural expectations of our members and participants. These guidelines help us promote mutual respect, encourage responsible behaviour and ensure that personal boundaries are recognised and respected.
Below, you can find the two Codes of Conduct that apply to Complex and its activities.
Members Code of Conduct
Our Members Code of Conduct outlines the values and behavioural expectations that all Complex members are expected to uphold. It focuses on treating others with respect, recognising personal boundaries, embracing diversity and taking responsibility for your own actions.
These guidelines apply not only during Complex activities and committee meetings, but also to online interactions. By following them, we can work together to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, heard and included.

IDEA Code of Conduct
Social safety and mutual respect extend beyond our own association. Together with Faculty Association IDEA and the other study associations within Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Complex follows a shared Code of Conduct.
This document establishes common rules and expectations for activities and events organised by the participating associations. It covers topics such as mutual respect, social safety, identification requirements, alcohol and drug use, and prohibited behaviour.
By following these shared guidelines, we aim to ensure that everyone can participate in activities in a safe, responsible and respectful environment.

Together, We Create a Safe Environment
A positive and inclusive association starts with the behaviour of its members. We therefore encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with these guidelines, respect the boundaries of others and contribute to a culture in which everyone feels comfortable speaking up.
If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, we encourage you to reach out and seek support. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected within Complex For more information about social safety, available support, our Confidential Contact Persons (CCPs), and how to report inappropriate behaviour, please visit our Wellbeing page.
